It was just two weeks ago that we brought you the video clip to the original Slumdog Millionaire/A R Rahman version of the track 'Jai Ho', but just two weeks later, those mistresses of mirth the Pussycat Dolls have released their version of the song, resplendent with extra vocals by Nicole Scherzinger. So she and the dolls pOp down to the local tram depot to recreate the closing sequence from the movie and invite Mister Rahman along for the ride to appear in the clip alongside them. And although it stays pretty damned close to the original, we just feel there's something that's lost in the translation for us. And that something might just be the pure celebration, joy and elation of the original that seems missing in this one.
