Four piece London outfit Go:Audio are really going to be Going:Places with this third single from their forthcoming album 'Made Up Stories'. It's an intriguing blend of rock and dance hall beats. The video is rather simple - the band is performing against a white background which looks like it's been attacked by a 40 foot texta, while elsewhere, lead singer James Matthews is in a car sucking the face off some bird (and we don't mean the feathered variety). But before he can remove the woman's lips with his suction, she disappears, leaving him a somewhat cryptic note, with the word 'ON' on one side and the number '46283467625' on the other (you can't accuse us of ever being anything BUT thorough). He finds another note, then another - spookily with the same number as before (at least she's consistent). He dials the number and speaks to the temptress, whereupon he discovers a rather more extended note on the door. Meanwhile, back at the studio, the band's invited some friends to come along to dance around in slow motion, which they agree to do, and it's here that the temptress appears, distracting James from his vocal duties. He's under her spell, we feel, especially given the revelation of the cryptic code right at the end. Clever clogs.Tuesday, April 14, 2009
