Starting with 'Sticky Fingers' and making their way through a gamut of classic albums to 'Exile On Main Street', Universal Music Australia has announced they'll be releasing a series of 14 classic Rolling Stones albums throughout the course of 2009, all fully re-mastered. The first batch of re-releases will hit stores on May 08, with 'Sticky Fingers', 'Goats Head Soup', 'It's Only Rock And Roll' and 'Black And Blue' the first in line. The second batch of four albums will hit retail on June 12, with a third selection (of five albums) scheduled for a July 17 in-store date. 'Exile On Main Street' is due for a re-working and re-release later in the year. All albums will contain the original tracklistings and artwork, but fans may want to keep their eyes open for the collector's box, which will house all 14 albums.
