TINA TURNER : When The Heartache Is Over

When you're on a roll, you're on a roll - and that was certainly the case for the Metro production team, the gang behind this awesome pOp track from Tina Turner. Not twelve months earlier, they'd pulled off the amazing comeback of Cher with her single 'Believe'. Turning to Tina, they produced this corker of a dance/pOp tune, which continued on the theme of Cher's 'Strong Enough' with another 'I'll get over you' anthem in 'When The Heartache Is Over'. Though the first single from Tina's album Twenty Four Seven hit the top ten in the UK, it did considerably less well here in Australia. But that clip. The glittering 'T' rising from the ground, the 'Tina' wall of globes in the background and Ms Bullock dancing up a storm through it all. She looks amazing, she sounds amazing, and it's simple, effective pOp goodness.
