Melbourne singer-songwriter Johnny X is no stranger to international chart success, but it's for others, not for himself, that he's found success. But all that's about to change with the release of the singer's brand new album 'Rodeo'. As part of the incredibly successful 'Metro' writing team, Johnny found success in the UK and US writing for Aussie dance/pOp diva Gina G, co-penning her hits 'Fresh' and 'Gimme Some Love'. He followed that success with co-writes on Anthony Callea's debut album and for Japanese boy band Arashi. But in 2006, he shifted focus away from others and turned his attention to writing for himself. The result was the 2006 album 'The Evolution Of Johnny X'. The album garnered airplay throughout the world and resulted in Mister X snaring the 'Best Dance Recording' Music Oz Award for his track 'Electric Nights'. Fast forward three years and Johnny's just put the finishing touches to his brand new album 'Rodeo'. Featuring a number of different musical directions, all deliciously electro in their sound, the album is a culmination of three long years of hard work.
It's currently available from the singer's OFFICIAL MYSPACE, but plans are also underway to make the album available on iTunes, to join some of his previous recordings.
Johnny's currently once again turning the tables on writing for other artists, working on new music for both the US and UK markets.

The chances of this album being a hit as about as likely as a Mel & Kim reunion.
