AGNES' AUSSIE RELEASE

Swedish songstress Agnes Carlsson has hit the big time in the with her single 'Release Me', a hit in her homeland at the end of last year. But it's in the UK where the singer has scored the highest chart position with the track, after it debuted impressively in the No.3 position on this week's charts. And with Swedish music and the electro/pOp revolution slowly but surely beginning to impact in Australia too, plans are afoot to release both the Agnes single and album here in Australia. The ink is still drying on a contract with up and coming dance label Neon Records that will see the singer release her album down under, possibly as soon as July. It follows on from Central Station Records' success with fellow Swede September, whose single 'Cry For You' peaked inside the top 20 late last year.
