BASEMENT JAXX : Raindrops

The Jaxx is back with the first single from their forthcoming new album. As you'd expect, it's rather dance, but at the same time it's also rather tribal, with a video clip to match. There's kaleidoscopic imagery coupled with painted bodies, face masks, fake nails, feathers and head-dresses, all nestled safely atop a bed of banging beats and a soaring chorus. It make take us a couple of listens, but we reckon 'Raindrops' is a definite grower.

No rather Black eyed Peas borrowing Basement Jaxx font, me thinks. No porblem, you might be too young to remember ;-)

Can I use this opportunity to say how awful I think Black Eyed Peas are. They make me sweat with their nonsense music.

But I might be not the target audience - people around the age of 2-5 years old.

They would make a great band for an appearance in Blue Peter or some Walt Disney TV.

Good night.
