INTRODUCING DEYA DOVA

We were quite taken when we recently saw the eye-catching imagery for the new single by South Australian-based artist Deya Dova. And fear not - the creative team behind the look didn't starve the singer-songwriter of oxygen to achieve the look above - nor did they use all kinds of digital trickery. They simply painted her blue. And the colour seems to have been integrated throughout the new project - from some of clothes Deya wears in her live shows to the OFFICIAL WEBSITE to the cover of the single. Speaking of, 'Kyio' is Deya's debut single and is lifted from her forthcoming third album 'Burst' - an album that looks set to take her in a slightly new musical direction. While the singer's previous albums have been somewhat experimental in sound, Deya's new material takes her in a more dance/electronic direction. The digital-only single features three remixes which sit alongside the slightly more down-tempo album version - infused with a more tribal/chill spice.
Deya has also just been announced as part of the line-up for this year's Splendour In The Grass festivals across the country.
While we're not sure whether painting oneself blue will catch on to the masses, we're sure that there'll be plenty of interest in what looks like a most interesting and beguiling artist.
