Back in 2004, Michael Gray released a song called 'The Weekend', which raved about the fact the weekend was on the way and that he couldn't wait for the weekend to begin and such. Five years later, Calvin Harris obviously thinks the formula can work for him too, with the second single from his album of the same name, 'Ready For The Weekend'. The name suggests we're about to be awash with a hands-in-the-air disco anthem of unimaginable proportions. It's incredibly tinkle-tinkle plonk-plonk with Calvin's breathy vocals laid atop what's a video ode to magical red quoits. Then the chorus kicks in and you know everything's right with the world - it really IS a disco anthem.
