Yesterday when we were writing out our chart watch post, we must admit to being a little puzzled and blown away by the No.14 singles chart debut of this track by Aussie DJ Tommy Trash, 'Need Me To Stay'. We really had no idea where in the name of S Club it had come from. But now, it all becomes clear. Lifted from Ministry Of Sound's recent 'Sessions Six' compilation, this track has taken on a life of it's own, and has debuted in the No.14 position on the ARIA singles chart and sold 4617 copies with hardly any radio airplay anywhere in the country. Of course, the very very sexy video might have had something to do with it - featuring two rather sexy young laydees cavorting in a shower cubicle, while a toned young man who looks like he could've been an extra in Baywatch in those skimpy red budgie-smugglers (for our overseas readers - that's Aussie slang for swimwear). Stupidly, they decide to turn the hairdryer on in the bathroom - and that's where things get rather electrifying...Tuesday, July 14, 2009
