MARIAH CAREY : Emotions

We last 'looked back' at a Mariah Carey video clip at Christmas time - at the track that's inevitably dragged out every holiday season - 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'. But we feel it's incredibly amiss of us not to look back at one of Mariah's other classic singles, and this time it's 'Emotions'. The 1991 single from the album of the same name deservedly hit the No.1 spot on the US Billboard Charts and garnered considerable chart love throughout the rest of the world with it's catchy gospel-tinged chorus and Mariah's dreamy vocals. We still reckon that this is the kind of music Mariah always did best - uplifting, soulful, classic pop. Hard to believe it's now nudging 18 years old.
