We did the same with Guy Sebastian's new album 'Like It Like That' earlier this week, so why the heck not do the same thing with Damien Leith's new album 'Remember June'. The ace Sony Music team sent us the new album this week so that we could have a little listen to it. We're still to get to it, but we'll let you know what it's like when we have. The former Australian Idol's album is set for release on October 16.

Ok, the question is, is it another covers album? Because the titles sound like covers...for example, wouldn't change a thing - kylie, sorry - madonna, see you again - miley cyrus, stay - shakespear's sister...which would make this release interesting!

You will be pleasantly surprised when you do end up listening to this. You are so lucky to have a copy of it. I have been fortunate enough to have heard a sneak preview of it and it will ROCK THE HOUSE.
This album is FANTASTIC. By the way, the release date is 9th October now and I can't wait to get my hands on my own copy.
It is not a covers album and I can tell you it's full of fantastic songs. The first single will rock your socks off!
Every single song is an original on Damien Leith's album, "Remember June" - penned by the man himself. I was also very lucky to have had an exclusive listen to the whole album (twice!!) and auspop... get listening NOW - you'll be kicking yourself if you delay.
There are influences from different bands and artists but it's really a unique style - very contemporary, very powerful and edgy. He's found quite a new market with this one. :-)
As Ros said, this is an incredible album and it would be great if you guys could actually have a really good listen to it and then do a review. I am SURE you will love it, as many of us do.
And no offense to the first poster, but please never put Damien's name and Miley Cyrus in the same sentence again! LOL!
I've heard snippets of the first single To Get To You on youtube, but I can't wait to hear the whole album. I'm looking forward to hearing your review !

Sounds like she'll be skipping this one if it's not a soft retrospective.
Putting another artist down, sallyanne, does not make your own favourite more likeable.
Hey Jason R., maybe you could get your mum a copy to see if she likes it. It may not have any Roy Orbison covers, but that voice is still the same.
And then if she doesn't like it, you could take it yourself! Win-Win!
