GROOVE STATE DELIVERS THE GLAM

We’ve been meaning to write up about two piece Sydney-based dance/pop outfit Groove State for a while now, since they sent us both their brand new single ‘Get Sexy’ and new album ‘Pop Glam’. Lisjana and DJ Deep G have been tearing up dancefloors throughout the world and found success in the United States with their debut single ‘Disco Disco’. But with single No.2 and the debut album now in the bag (released through indie label Play Lab Records), the act has shown that they’re ready to mix it with the best.
There’s plenty of references to the market they’re trying to attract in the titles of the songs on the album, ‘Disco Disco’, ‘Dance All Night’, ‘Get On The Floor’, ‘Dance Floor’, ‘The Club’ to name but five, and if the song names aren’t enough to suggest the Groove State team wants the long player to make you move, the six full length remixes tacked onto the end of the album most certainly are.
The album’s incredibly high energy right from the get-go, with Lisjana’s vocals laid atop a thumping electro soundtrack – it’s most certainly designed to be played loud.
Check the band and their music out over at their OFFICIAL MYSPACE and look out for your chance to win copies of the album AND the promotional single on Monday!
