KATE'S CHRISTMAS

Thanks to auspOp reader Mark for tipping us off on this one, but lovely Aussie chanteuse Kate Ceberano (looking stunning in this new shot, left) is poised to release a Christmas album at the end of the year. Slated for a November release, the album 'Merry Christmas' will feature 'classics with a twist that only Kate could deliver'. The tracklist includes White Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Jingle Bell Rock and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, along with a very special duet with Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating. More details on the release as they come to hand.

Didn't she release an album earlier this year? Never saw it chart..?? Her previous two went top 20 and top 10 didn't they (on the back of some awful Channel 7 singing show)?
Always liked her. Won't be buying her Xmas album but good luck to her!

(Cheers, Tuvak)

Yup, this will be her THIRD album for 2009
1) Dallas et Kate (with Dallas Cosmos) - April 2009
2) Bittersweet (with Mark Isham) - May 2009
3) TBA Christmas Album - Dec 2009!

And live concerts again through September!

Busy woman.

Third it is, but there was also a compilation in February of her two earlier jazz albums: 'Kate Ceberano & Her Septet' circa 1987 and 'Like Now' circa 1990. The compilation was called 'All That Jazz'. I don't know if it counts since it was a re-release, but thought it was worth mentioning. Also, I believe 'Bittersweet' reached something like #3 on the Australian Jazz Charts.

Busy girl indeed! Her live shows are amazing as always.
