The Sound Relief concerts held in Sydney and Melbourne back in March to raise much needed funds for victims of the Victorian bushfires and Queensland floods were the biggest in our country's history. Some of Australia's and indeed the world's biggest stars came together to help raise more than eight million dollars for the Red Cross. But that fundraising isn't quite done just yet, with the upcoming release of the Sound Relief Concert DVD. The four DVD set features more than nine hours of footage from the two concerts with more than 110 songs covered from the likes of Jack Johnson, Wolfmother, Barry Gibb, Olivia Newton John, Coldplay, John Farnham, Kylie Minogue, Jet, The Presets, Taylor Swift, Marcia Hines, Gabriella Cilmi and many, many more. And as with the concerts, all funds raised from the sale of the DVDs will go directly to the Red Cross to assist in preparing communities for disasters such as floods and fire. The DVD is due out on October 16.
