Kim Moyes, one half of the all-conquering Presets, has not only spent the last six years churning up the nation's dancefloors as part of the band, but has also been tinkering away behind the scenes, brewing his own wondrous musical concotions that would hopefully one day see a release proper. That day has finally arrived. 'Selected Jerks 2001-2009' contains a collection of "tracks obviously aimed squarely at the dancefloor perfectly offset by a series of wistfully melancholy, downbeat dreamsuites". Their words, not ours. The disc is set for release on October 30.
However, Kim's not content with merely seeing his disc released. Oh no - he's decided to whip his way around the country to play a series of club gigs alongside Belgian DJ Beni.
