To say that Sarah McLeod has had a tumultuous few years is an understatement. The former Superjesus frontwoman endured personal heartache as she became the victim of a record company takeover. With her music career left on the proverbial cutting room floor, the singer picked herself up, dusted herself off and rebounded with a massive international club hit in 'He Doesn't Love You'. From that moment on, Sarah McLeod discovered a new musical calling - and it's a calling that's taken her all around the world - from London to Spain to Italy to New York to Brussels to Paris and plenty of places in between.
A top ten UK club hit and top 20 US club banger ('White Horse') under her belt, Sarah is back with a new direction, a new sound and a renewed lust for creating perfect pop.
She's since worked with some pretty influential musicians including Missy Elliot, The Game and even hot new US pop outfit 3OH!3, but it's her own career that's now beginning to take the spotlight.
Sarah's brand new single 'Tell Your Story Walking' (pictured) was taken to Australian radio last week. An up-tempo pop number that combines deep dance beats with Sarah's distinctive husky vocals, it's the first taster of her (as yet untitled) new album, due early in the new year.
So while it may have been a fair few years since Sarah scored any chart love, she's now back, armed with a hot new single, her very own record label, an abundance of talent and as always, plenty of spunk. And we reckon it's high time that us Aussies started sitting up and taking notice.
Check out a 30 second clip of Sarah's new tune over at her OFFICIAL MYSPACE and get your mitts on the digital single from November 01.
