The whole world (or at very least the music community) knows just how much animosity there is between musicians Lily Allen and Elton John after they famously came to blows on-stage at the GQ Awards in London late last year. Well the lovely Lily has unveiled the clip to her new single 'Who'd Have Known' and in it, it would appear that she has lost none of that spite in the almost 14 months since their very public spat. Putting it plainly, Lily is stalking Elton. While he's off somewhere on stage performing, Lily's hanging out back at his pad, casually reclining on his bed. She then continues, disguising herself as a chauffeur, playing his piano, tying him up - the usual stalker kinda stuff. But in re-visiting the song, we're reminded once again why there was such a kerfuffle when it originally surfaced - the similarities between the chorus of this and Take That's 'Shine' are undeniable. Clever clip from a cunning artiste.

Well, i believe that the 'kerfuffle' had been non-existent since the day it was released - Take That (all 4 members) were given songwriting credits on the album, and it was reported that Lily Allen loved 'Shine' so much that she approached Gary Barlow to let her 'sample' the chorus for Who'd Have Known.
This shitty blog reports a lot of wrong information.
Hey gang,
The reports that we've seen are that Lily had written the song with Greg Kurstin.
Quote: "I didn't know when we wrote it. Greg just played the chords and I sang and we were like, 'That's great, really hooky.' Then when we played it back to someone, they pointed it out that it was, essentially, 'Shine’."
Quote: "I have put up a song that won't make it on the album. I ripped off the chorus from Take That and I can't be bothered with the paperwork."
After all that, she officially approached Take That to get permission to use what was essentially a sample of the 'Shine' chorus.
As for auspOp being a shitty blog reporting a log of wrong information, we're accurate 99.99% of the time, but thanks for visiting even if you don't like what you see.
