NEWS WRAP

If the current iTunes chart is anything to go by, it would appear that Australia has been gripped by Glee fever. After the cast of the hit Channel 10 show visited Australian shores a couple of weeks back, the music from the series has slowly be climbing the digital charts ahead of the soundtrack's appearance in stores on November 06. Five tracks from the soundtrack make up the iTunes top 100 right now.
* Guy Sebastian maintains his top spot on the Australian airplay chart with his single 'Like It Like That', with Kate Miller-Heidke stuck in No.2 with 'The Last Day On Earth'. German dance outfit Cascada maintains the No.3 position with 'Evacuate The Dancefloor'.
* Sony Music has today announced the release of some rather spectacular box sets for AC/DC fans. 'Backtracks' are "the ultimate AC/DC experience" and will be released into stores on Tuesday November 10. The standard edition includes two discs of studio and live rarities, along with the 'Family Jewels 3' DVD and bonus videos. The deluxe edition adds another CD, an extra DVD, a vinyl LP, coffee table book, facsimiles of authentic memorabilia, lithographs and much much more. Get all the guff at the OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
* Philadelphia hip hop outfit G Love and Special Sauce have announced an Australian tour. The band will kick off the tour in Melbourne on November 18 before heading to Sydney (Nov 19), Byron Bay (Nov 20) and Brisbane (Nov 21). Tickets for all dates are on sale now.
* In other tour news, The Used, due to hit Australian shores in November this year, have postponed their Aussie tour 'til March 2010. According to the official press release from Frontier Touring, "The band has found themselves in a position of having to stay close to their home base for the latter part of this year". The November 18 gig in Brisbane is now on March 18, the November 20 gig in Melbourne is now on March 16, the November 22 gig, also in Melbourne, has been postponed 'til March 14 and the Sydney gig on November 24 will now happen on March 12, 2010. All existing tickets are valid for the new shows, with refunds available at the point of purchase for those who are unable to make the new dates.
* And in the wonderful world of Twitter, Rogue Traders frontman James Ash is getting RSI, Gin Wigmore spent the day playing tennis and drinking beer in the Sydney sunshine, Darren Hayes is recording a cover version for his forthcoming album and Sia has announced that her new album will be called 'We Are Born'.
