Though it's not on the local release schedule just yet, fans of Irish boyband Westlife won't have to wait too long before their heroes release new material. The boys' new album, originally slated for a 2010 release, has been brought forward and is now set to be released before Christmas in Britain. A 30 second snippet of the band's new single 'What About Now' - a cover version of the 2008 Daughtry track - leaked to the net just days ago and will be released digitally and physically in the UK on Monday. The forthcoming album 'Where We Are' is due at the end of November, but no word yet on an Aussie release for either.

They are far and away my life's guilty pleasure! Have heard the song - I too thought it was odd to cover such a recent song but I still really like it... The album is apparently 80% fresh material so we'll see... Another UK number one no doubt!
