New York City foursome Semi Precious Weapons have been revealed as the official support act for Lady Gaga's forthcoming tour of Australia. The band will bring their curious blend of electric glam rock to proceedings at all of Gaga's dates throughout the country, kicking off next Wednesday night in Sydney.The self-titled new Semi Precious Weapons EP hit the stores yesterday.

Gotta give 'em props for knowing how to drag out their role as 'support act' though.
They got the gig because Gaga used to work alongside them when she was trying to make her big break.
