* We don't know what's gone on over the last few weeks, but instead of servicing their new tracks on a Monday morning, record companies are now trying to get the jump on each other with their new releases. Sony sent Rogue Traders' new single 'Would You Raise Your Hands' to radio late last week, EMI serviced a swag of new releases before dawn this morning and Universal sampled a few new tracks (including the new Kate Nash single 'Do-Wah-Doo', pictured) late last night.* V Australia has announced the two lucky winners of the 'My World Tour' competition launched in October last year. They are Rebecca Clark from Collaroy on Sydney's northern beaches and Daniel Taylor from Surry Hills. The duo will travel the world checking out eleven music festivals VIP style. The 2010 edition of the My World Tour competition will launch later this year.
* Former Australian Idol star Lisa Mitchell has taken out the 2009 Australian Music Prize for her album 'Wonder'. She beat out eight other finalists to snatch the coveted prize and it's $30,000 side-dish.
* And in the UK, Mark Owen's gone to rehab as his fellow Take That bandmates record new music with Robbie Williams.
