CAT'S BACK

It seems that Melbourne outfit The Cat Empire aren't done selling hundreds of thousands of units just yet, inking a brand new deal with their long term label EMI. To celebrate the continuation of their relationship, the band has announced a brand new album. The new LP, entitled 'Cinema', has been set down for release on Friday June 25 and will be preceded by the single 'Feeling's Gone', available digitally from May 14.
But beyond just announcing a new album, the band will also return to Australia in August to do what they do best - performing live to their legion of fans. Ten shows have been set down for the tour at this stage, mainly throughout the Eastern states. But they've promised that show announcements for Broome, Townsville, Alice Springs and Darwin won't be far behind.

August 19 : Melbourne (Palace Theatre)
August 21 : Perisher (The Station)
August 22 : Canberra (ANU Bar)
August 26 : Byron Bay (Beach Hotel)
August 27 : Gold Coast (Coolangatta Hotel)
August 28 : Brisbane (Riverstage)
August 29 : Sydney (Hordern Pavillion)
September 01 : Adelaide (Thebarton Theatre)
September 02 : Perth (Astor Theatre)
September 10 : Cairns (Reggaetown Festival)

Can't wait. TCE have been one of my favourite bands of the 00s.
