WASHINGTON C.D.

Respected Aussie songstress Megan Washington (pictured, looking like a rather stern '60s school teacher) released her band's brand new EP 'Rich Kids' last Friday - and it's already been creating quite the buzz in industry circles. But even more exciting is news through late yesterday that Washington will release their debut album in late July.
'I Believe You, Liar' was recorded in Melbourne earlier this year and is said to be inspired by childhood, mortality, dispassionate love and the unconscious. Says Megan of the release, "For me, this record is thematically focused on duality and the impossible co-existence of dichotomous ideas. There are no love songs on this record, nor are there any breakup songs; only polaroids of social and emotional contradictions." What she said.
'I Believe You, Liar' is due to drop at retail on July 30. We'll show you the 'Rich Kids' video across the weekend.
