Warner Music Australia has officially announced the local release of the new album for US outfit Goo Goo Dolls. The band, most famous for their 1998 hit 'Iris', will release 'Something For The Rest Of Us' in Australia in late August. It's the band's first new studio album in more than four years.The first single from the album, 'Home', will be serviced to media in Australia on Monday week before appearing at digital retail on Friday July 02.
'Something For The Rest Of Us' is slated for release on Friday August 27.

Diana's 'Once' has been serviced in Australia, but hasn't really found favour at radio.
Though thanks to some discounting on Sony's BanditFM, it did appear in the top 100 a couple of weeks back.

July 2nd. Well at least I can stop checking itunes for 'Home' now. If this is true and the album release isn`t pushed for any reason past the 27th of August WOO-HOO! I can`t wait!
Really looking forward to this release, if "Home" is anything to go by, it's a more mature sounding direction for the band.
I really really hope that Warner actually promote this properly here in Australia and give the band the opportunity to perform here again in support of it.
I want to see them live again!!!!
