GORILLAZ : On Melancholy Hill

The thing that we really adore about the videos to the Gorillaz' singles from this latest album of theirs is the incredible, incredible animation. There's something about the colours, the attention to detail and the vivid imaginations that have created them that makes each and every one of them so damned believable.
We also love that while most of the clip looks rather 3D in it's design, the main characters remain very much 1D short.
In this clip, a passenger liner is under heavy attack from some planes. Sadly it sinks and the passengers are left to scramble for the lifeboats.
There are some great underwater shots, where the various craft find themselves churning through a school of superfast jellyfish. Unfortunately, the jellyfish aren't superfast enough to out-swim the propellors.
All rather amazing really.
