KELLY ROWLAND : Commander

We reckon that if this didn't actually have the name 'Kelly Rowland' on the clip, there'd be quite a number of people in the world who would have absolutely no idea who's singing this monster club pop hit.
Produced by David Guetta, 'Commander' is a stomper in every sense of the word. And, in the fine tradition of Australian radio and anything that's not on American radio, for the most part it's being criminally ignored.
In the words of Barbara from Bank World, "Shame", 'cause it's a bloody great song, with a rather strong video which features Kel in a couple of rather shiny, rather clingy outfits battling herself for the spotlight.
There's a new dancefloor diva in town - and her name's Ms Kelly. Slick.

I think Australian radio is just very behind the times and very conservative when catching on to new material. Instead of being on the look out for new music and new talent, they play the same hit songs for months and months over and over again until people finally get sick off them. A good example of this would be the Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" and Owl City "Fireflies". I loved those songs at first, when the radio play wasn't to heavy, but then shortly after, I kept hearing them repeatedly all the time, on every station, and then I actually turned to hate both songs.

One of the best songs of the year!

Massively surprised I still haven't heard it on radio, maybe they'll start playing it once the final cut of the video gets sent out.

It amazes me how radio won't try music a little different. They repeat the same songs 100 times a day. They have far too much power of a single's success.
