2010 ARIA AWARDS

The team from the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) used yesterday's ARIA No.1 Chart Awards event in Sydney to officially unveil the date and venue for the 2010 ARIA Awards.
And this year, instead of traipsing all the way out to Homebush in Sydney's west, the awards are moving right into the heart of the city - to the iconic Sydney Opera House.
Channel 10 will telecast the awards from both the Opera House forecourt and the Concert Hall, with a broadcast set to contain eleven awards and six electrifying live performances.
ARIA Chairman Ed St John couldn't hide his excitement with the new venue.
"The last eight years at Acer Arena have been brilliant," he said, "But it’s now time to take this event to a whole new level. The ARIAs at the Sydney Opera House will be utterly spectacular, and it could only be possible with the commitment of Network 10 and the generous assistance of Events NSW.”
The 2010 ARIA Awards will be held on Sunday November 07.
