For a first announcement... By gad there are a heck of a number of bands that have been announced to take to the stage for next year's Big Day Out. And while the headliners don't really fall into the 'pop' category (Tool, Rammstein, Iggy & The Stooges etc), there's plenty to keep us pop kids happy when the BDO2011 kicks off on the Gold Coast on January 23.Also on the bill are the likes of LCD Soundsystem, PNAU, Bliss N Eso, Angus & Julia Stone, Little Red, CSS, Operator Please, Gypsy & The Cat, Kids Of 88 and many, many more.

Tickets for the Sydney event are on sale on Wednesday October 06, Gold Coast tickets are on sale on Thursday October 07 and tickets for Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth will hit the sales floor running on Friday October 08.
