The team at EMI is crowing from the rooftops over the success of Katy Perry's new LP 'Teenage Dream'. As you're aware, it retained its position atop the ARIA albums chart this week and the title track from the album is still on top of the airplay charts here in Australia after four weeks.'Teenage Dream' the album has gone to No.1 across the world, including in the important trio of markets - the US, UK and Japan.
The album has been certified platinum in Canada and is already gold in the UK, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand and down under.
Not only that, but the album's lead single 'California Gurls' has now clocked up more than six million sales throughout the world, becoming a triple platinum success in Canada, the US and Australia.
'Teenage Dream' the single is already platinum here, in Canada and in the United States. And there's plenty more to come from this perfumed LP, with the third single (rumoured to be 'Firework') set for release later in the year.
