They'll be hitting the country midway through next month for the star-packed Summerbeatz festivals in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, but to keep their fans in Newcastle happy, both Akon and Jay Sean are teaming up for a one-off show at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre.
This stand-alone concert on Sunday November 21 will see the duo perform their biggest hits - Akon's sold more than eight million albums throughout his career and Jay Sean's 'Down' sold more than three million copies in the US. His new single '2012 (This Ain't The End)' is still impacting in the Aussie chart.
Tickets for the Newcastle gig are on sale this Wednesday (November 03).

Hey Chris A,

We're not aware of Summerbeatz dumping Akon from its entire national tour.
As reported on the site during the week, he's not appearing in Melbourne - rumour has it Rod Laver Arena has banned him from appearing there because of his previous tour when fights brought out between rival gangs/fans at the venue's Hisense Arena.
