ARIA CONCERT SERIES

And the ARIA Awards announcements keep coming this week, this time a series of live concerts in Sydney's stunning Botanical Gardens featuring some of this year's nominees. In addition to the concert series, this year's ARIA genre awards will also be presented during the five dates.
Each of the live shows will also feature special guests, will be recorded and is set to be released exclusively through iTunes.

MONDAY NOVEMBER 01
Nominated in four categories at this year's ARIA Awards, Mister John Butler will kick off the concert series with a stirring live solo set and a special guest appearance from Dan Sultan.
Presented on the Monday night will be the awards for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album, Best Music DVD and Best World Music Album.

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 02
The second concert in the series is by the amazing Washington, who is set to perform tracks from her debut album 'I Believe You, Liar'. She'll be joined by special guests Boy & Bear.
Presented on the Tuesday evening will be the awards for Best Blues & Roots Album, Best Children's Album and Best Original Soundtrack/Cast/Show.

WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 03
On November 03, the Botanic Gardens will come alive to the sounds of one time Australian Idol, now X Factor judge and Sony Music signing Guy Sebastian, who'll belt out numbers from his latest album 'Like It Like That'. He's set to be joined by special guests Amy Meredith.
The ARIA Awards for Best Jazz Album, Best Dance Album and Best Urban Album will also be presented.

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 04
On the Thursday night, Adelaide's own six time ARIA nominated Sia will take to the stage, performing songs from her latest album 'We Are Born'. Her special guest for the concert is Sally Seltmann.
Presented on the Thursday night will be the ARIA Awards for Best Country Album, Best Adult Contemporary Album, Best Comedy Release and Best Classical Album.

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 05
And on the final night, also with six nominations, brother and sister dynamos Angus & Julia Stone will hit the stage to perform tracks from their ARIA No.1 album 'Down The Way'. Old Man River will act in the special guest role.
Handed out on the final night of the concert series will be the ARIAs for Best Pop Release, Best Rock Album and Best Adult Alternative Album.

As mentioned, each of the concerts will be recorded live and released to the iTunes store. They'll also be filmed and will be broadcast on MTV and MTV Hits each night at 8:00pm.
