Tickets for Sydney's 2011 Big Day Out went on sale at 9am today, and within minutes - yes, minutes - the entire 55,000 tickets for the event had gone. Completely sold out. And so to avoid disappointment (many people were no doubt crying into their Cheerios at missing out), organisers have revealed that there will now be a SECOND Sydney Big Day Out - on Thursday January 27.This is only the third time in the event's 19 year history that a second date has been added in any city.
The entire same line-up, the same fab venue, only one day later. Tickets for the new Sydney date are on sale on Monday October 11! Tickets for the Gold Coast are on sale tomorrow, with Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth on sale this Friday.
