NEW SHANIA DROPS

Welcome back Ms Twain... It's been far too long.
Yes, Universal Music has today officially serviced the long-awaited new Shania Twain single 'Today Is Your Day' to Australian retail.
It's been six long years since we last heard anything new from the singer and an extraordinary nine years since her last album 'Up' which spawned the top 20 single 'I'm Gonna Getcha Good'.
The process of creating the track featured in episodes of the singer's TV show on the Oprah Winfrey Network in the US and was rushed to digital retail globally yesterday (yes, it's also on our iTunes store).
No word yet on an album, but a very warm and long overdue welcome back to Shania Twain.

Her new memoir is incredible - just finished it yesterday and it's definitely by favorite memoir to date. To think that in 1987 both her parents were killed, she was living in poverty in rural Canada and was left the support her 4 younger siblings - cut to 1997 and she releases the biggest selling album of all time by a female artist. Her story is inspiring and so interesting to see how she got to this point - you finish reading it just wishing you knew her! The new single will probably just be promo for the OWN show - to ease her way back in. It's a nice uplifting track but not lead single material after a decade hiatus.
