We don't think we're in E Street anymore, Toto! Yes, Melissa Tkautz, who played 'Nikki Spencer' on the hit Channel 10 soap back in the early '90s, and who hit the charts at the time with her delicious pop singles 'Read My Lips', 'Sexy (Is The Word)' and 'Skin To Skin' is back with a brand new tune.Fans of the Aussie singer and actress will recall that she returned to the singles chart in 2005 with her cover version of Sheila E's 'The Glamorous Life' and followed up wish a succession of singles including 'Easily Affected' and 'All I Want'.
Now Melissa has teamed up with Melbourne DJ Nick Jay to record and release a brand new track called 'Something About You' and for fans of the dancefloor, there's a whole swag of remixes rounding up the rear.
Two remix EPs were released on Friday - one with a bundle of full lengths, the other with a selection of radio cuts. But if that's not enough to whet your appetite, there's another digital EP of remixes coming this Friday.

Wow, I'm surprised she is back with new music as she had a baby. I thought she might retire from music.
Just played the sample for iTunes and it sounds really good. I liked her cover of I Want Your Love with Nick Skitz too.
And yes I was a fan E-Street, lol.
Thanks for the update...

Thanks for the heads up auspOp. Good track. Just downloaded it - Darren.
auspOp that's great news Melissa is back! :-) any news on Melissa releasing Read My Lips, Sexy (Is The Word) & Skin To Skin to iTunes? Also kinda relevant what happened to Girlfriend iTunes release? Both of these acts went to #01 in 1992 :-D
Great song...Original Radio Edit is solid as a rock.
Hey Anonymous #4,
We'll have to ask the question re: the older singles hitting iTunes.
As for Girlfriend's 'Essential' package, it's still not slated for a release at the moment. It was pulled from the release schedule like the 'Essential' collections from Tina Arena, Merril Bainbridge, Margaret Urlich etc etc.
