SHAKIRA : Rabiosa

Looking at the image of Shakira on the cover for her latest single 'Rabiosa' and the image of the dark-haired young woman in the video below, you'd swear you were looking at two different people. Wrong. Yep, that's Shakira below - sporting a seriously sexy short cropped brunette 'do in the video for her latest single.
The track was originally recorded in Spanish for her 2010 Latin album 'Sale El Sol', which to date remains unreleased in Australia. But now that the single has been recorded in English (bringing in rapper Pitbull to boot - who makes it sound rather a lot like his hit single 'I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)'), who knows what may happen for Shakira locally in the future.
About that clip though - seems like Shakira's heading underground to one heck of a hip and happening club where the girls and boys are hot, she gets her hands on a few balls and our sexy Colombian songstress tries her hand at a little pole dancing to keep things moist, hot and steamy. Someone call the fire brigade!

It's okay...it's no Whenever Wherever. I like it when she's more latin flavoured. It's alright.

Hey Auspop!

I was wondering if you know why her label hasnt sent anything to Australia yet? I mean, she wolf was cancelled and so were the rest of the singles and so has Sale el Sol. Loca and Rabiosa havent even had the chance to impact Australian charts, i feel like Australian radio is like intentionally not playing her stuff. Any ideas??

Hey Anonymous #3,

Sony ended up releasing the 'She Wolf' album locally, but they haven't done anything with 'Sale El Sol'.
Radio hasn't been playing anything from the latest album predominantly because Sony hasn't serviced the singles.

The English version of Rabiosa IS on the Sale el Sol album - it wasn't recently recorded.
