Long before Lady Gaga was busy kooking up the pop world with her out-there fashion sense, Icelandic music sensation Bjork was tripping everyone out with her weird and whacky creations (who could forget that swan gown she wore to the Oscars ten years ago?).
Well the singer has today released her brand new single 'Crystalline' exclusively through the global iTunes store.
It's the first tune to be lifted from her forthcoming LP 'Biophilia' and marks the start of what will be an interesting and exciting campaign to bring the music to her fans.
It's set to be a total multimedia experience comprising not only the new album, but a series of apps, a website, live shows and much more.
There will be ten apps, one for each song to appear on 'Biophilia'. They'll all be made available via a Cosmogony "mother app", with each app (each with its own theme) to be added to the mother as they're released.
There will be live shows, a 90 minute 'Biophilia' documentary and the fully relaunched www.bjork.com.
The album 'Biophilia' will be released in standard digital and physical formats in September.
