So here's the current state of play with British girl group Little Mix... An Aussie street team starts a campaign to get the girls' hot new tune 'Wings' released in Australia. They are successful. Said 'Mixers' then begin a campaign to get the girls's album released locally. And voila! Their wish is Sony's command. Then they shout for the laydees to hop on the plane to Australia for some promotional love. Again they are successful, with the band announcing a perfectly-timed visit later this month for promotional duties including a performance on 'The X Factor'. Single 'Wings' debuts in the ARIA charts at No.34 and is already headed for the upper reaches of the iTunes chart. It sounds very much like the One Direction campaign all over again, if you ask us (and possibly a little pre-orchestrated). But heck, if it worked for 1D, it can work for Little Mix too.
In the meantime, they continue to fire over in the UK, with the video for their latest single (and title track from their debut album) notching close to two million views in just a few days.
In the meantime, 'DNA' the album will see the light of day in Australia on Friday November 23.

Why are fans having to start campaigns all the time for them to take notice? Fair enough that it's a supply-demand thing, but still, Sony should be obliged in keeping up with releases in the UK by pushing them out here in Australia on time regardless. It's like they didn't even know who Little Mix were until people told them on Twitter, and they are on Sony.
