ONE ELLA-VA DEBUT

She's torn up the charts as part of the multi-ARIA winning outfit Killing Heidi, shown us her more acoustic side as part of duo The Verses, along with brother Jesse. But now young Ella Hooper is ready to do things all on her ownsome, with the release of her debut solo single 'Low High'.
Due at digital retail next Friday, the track is about the fight to obtain balance in one's life, with Ella saying it's about trying "to not succumb to the inertia and pressure of the blues that strike us all from time to time."
Brilliantly, there's also an official video to boot - filmed in a remote pine forest in north-east Victoria. In it, Ella busts a move or two.
"I wanted to show a vacant, almost hypnotized heroine being taken over, insidiously, and also lifted up by unseen forces (manic depression)," she says of the clip. "My daggy dancing is meant to be a little robotic and disconnected, as I know people in this state are often just going through the motions, faking the party."
'Low High' is the lead single taken from Ella's debut solo offering 'In Tongues', due for release early in the new year.
