REBECCA & FIONA : Taken Over

Sadly, Australia's been a bit behind the times when it comes to Swedish DJ duo Rebecca & Fiona. While yes, their singles 'Luminary Ones' and 'Bullets' were released locally, there's been no sign of their rather excellent 'John Doe', nor their poptastic 2011 debut 'I Love You, Man'.
But with or without Terra Australis onboard, the R&F project continues unabated overseas, where the video for their new single 'Taken Over' premiered last week.
The presenters, DJs, producers and music stars seem to be in their element here, with the clip opening to the pop of a champagne cork. We soon discover, however, that this life of excess isn't all it's cracked up to be, what with late rental payments, the inability to afford a hair straightener (or a bra, so it seems).
Nice stuff from arguably the home of global pop.
